This is an onsite role in Linthicum, MD, offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, reflecting the strategic importance of your contributions to our Human Resources initiatives. Here, you will drive HR Strategy, enhancing Talent Acquisition, Retention, and Employee Engagement across our multi-location operations. Your expertise in Compliance and Labor Laws (USA and Canada) will ensure we meet all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of Performance Management. What's your day like?

As the North America HR Leader, you can expect to engage in a variety of essential tasks each day. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a structured yet dynamic work environment. You will provide Multi-location HR Management, ensuring smooth operations across our sites while fostering strong Employee Relations. Each day, you will manage Talent Acquisition efforts, collaborating with hiring managers to attract top talent in the Analytical Chemistry Industry. You will also develop and implement HR Strategy initiatives aimed at enhancing Employee Engagement and Retention rates.

Regular meetings will involve performance reviews and discussions surrounding Performance Management to align team goals with organizational objectives. Additionally, you'll stay updated on Compliance and Labor Laws (USA and Canada) to advise and guide the team on best practices. While navigating HRIS Systems (iSolved), you'll analyze data-driven insights to inform decisions, ensuring our practices reflect industry standards and meet our workforce's needs.

Are you the North America HR Leader we're looking for?

To excel as the North America HR Leader, you will need a diverse set of skills tailored to the multifaceted nature of the role. A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on Multi-location HR Management is essential, alongside a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field-HR certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of North American labor laws, including federal, state, and provincial regulations, will guide your compliance and reporting responsibilities.

Your expertise in HR Strategy & Operations will support the development and implementation of policies aligned with organizational goals. Proficiency in HRIS (iSolved) systems and the MS Office Suite is required for effective data management and reporting. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for building relationships and acting as a primary contact for Employee Relations.

Leadership capabilities are necessary for guiding HR teams and fostering a positive workplace culture focused on Employee Engagement and Retention. Flexibility to travel occasionally to various company locations will enhance cross-functional collaboration and support talent acquisition efforts across North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

HR Strategy & Operations: Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies and procedures across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Taking care of executing the yearly HR calendar.

Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring the hiring of top talent for various departments and roles across North America. Collaborate with hiring managers to assess needs, create job descriptions, and streamline recruitment processes.

Employee Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and conflict resolution support. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement and retention.

Compliance & Reporting: Ensure human resource compliance with federal, numerous state, and local laws. Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and compliance status.

Performance Management: Support the performance management process across locations, helping managers with employee development, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Experience in top grading organizations. Ensure employee files are maintained.

Training & Development: Identify training and development needs and implement programs that enhance skills, productivity, and career growth for employees across all facilities.

Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with leadership and external vendors to administer compensation and benefits programs, including pay structures, bonuses, health benefits, and retirement plans and 401k open enrolments. Coordination of benefits administration; keeping in contact with brokers and third-party administrators and (semi) monthly processing of payroll.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, department heads, and other HR team members to ensure a unified approach to employee satisfaction and organizational success.

Recruitment and onboarding: Responsible for the hiring process from recruiting to onboarding (includes applicant tracking, pre-employment, assessments, offer letters, background checks, and new hire forms).

Engagement Survey: Provide guidance and support to Site Leaders on actions and tasks from the yearly Engagement Survey. Work closely with Leaders on the formulation of key topics, if any, regarding employee engagement.
