### Full-Time Nurse Needed for Quadriplegic Man (Glen Burnie, MD)
Position: Full-Time Home Health Nurse
Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Patient: 43-year-old quadriplegic man with a cervical spinal cord injury
Schedule:
- Evenings: Monday-Sunday, 5 or 6 PM - 1 AM
- Wednesdays: 8 AM - 5 or 6 PM
- Weekends: 8 AM - 5 or 6 PM (Overnight travel availability preferred)
Pay:
- LPNs/RNs: $35/hour
- CNAs: On-call, as-needed basis ($20/hour)
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with bathing (ceiling lift available for transfers)
- Administering medication and signing off on records
- Hands-on care, including pain management, high blood pressure, self-catheterization, bowel movements, and transfers
- Keeping an organized and clean work environment
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with the patient
- Limiting personal phone use during work hours to focus on patient needs
- Driving a wheelchair-accessible minivan when needed
- Being available for weekend overnight travel
Requirements:
- LPN or RN degree (CNAs welcome for on-call shifts)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience with or willingness to work with spinal cord injuries
- Preferably under 50 years old and American (female preferred, but males are welcome to apply)
Additional Details:
- Home health case in a clean environment with one emotional support dog (occasional assistance may be needed)
- Position paid through an agency (with possible additional travel incentives from the patient)
- The patient, Robert, lives with his two parents in a quiet waterfront neighborhood
- Patient enjoys creative activities and spending time in nature
