Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary:The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: verifying incoming inventory against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies such as damages, shortages or overages; stowing inventory in prescribed storage locations to include stacking and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; relocating inventory as required; inventorying on hand stock; picking inventory from storage location; packaging inventory in preparation for shipment, and entering pick/packs in NESSS. Requirement:Must have 2-3 years experience in a warehouse.Previous forklift experienceHigh School diploma or equivalentStrong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The ability to learn additional software programs specifically, NAVAL & SUPPLY SUPPORT SYSTEM (NESSS), COGNOS, and FEDLOG. One year of experience in direct support in a logistics and supply warehousing environment. Three years of experience operating standard material handling equipment to include forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap, metal strapping equipment and scales at a minimum.
