The Bluebird & Green Room is currently seeking a versatile individual to fill the role of Cook & Receiver in our kitchen team. This position requires a skilled cook who can also efficiently manage incoming deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared promptly and presented attractively.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
Receive incoming deliveries of food and supplies, verifying quantities and quality.
Organize and properly store received items in designated storage areas.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock replenishment needs.
Assist with menu planning and development as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
