The Johns Hopkins University ORIGINS Internship in Development and Alumni Relations will introduce you to a career in institutional advancement – fundraising for higher education.The ORIGINS internship program runs for ten weeks, from June 2 - August 8, 2025. Interns will receive on-the-job training and gain essential skills in the areas of alumni relations and philanthropy.It’s only a career if there’s a purpose. Through this internship, you can directly support the staff, and faculty who create knowledge for the world. This valuable work includes event planning, prospect research, donor stewardship, writing, marketing, alumni relations, and program management.At Hopkins, we are committed to fostering greater interest in this profession. ORIGINS is an internship offered to highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in advancing their professional careers while supporting education and medicine on a global scale through philanthropy. Interns will be paired with highly-qualified development and alumni relations professionals across Johns Hopkins University to work on real and present challenges.As an ORIGINS intern, you may have the opportunity to:

Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student currently attending a higher education institution

Be a U.S. citizen

Provide a resume and personal statement

Demonstrate they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza
