Experience/basic requirements
1. Bilingual Spanish/English
2. 4 year experience as lead carpenter in residential framing
3. Ability to manage two home builds simultaneously (16-18 men)
4. Must have two local references, builder or framing subcontractor
Duties
1. Layout floor systems and walls
2. Layout and cut basic roof systems
a. Gable roofs
b. Regular hips
c. Regular valleys
3. Read and interpret blueprints
4. Ability to communicate with site superintendent and/or project manager to schedule/ solve problems
5. Frame check structure on frame completion
a. Layout correct
b. Door rough opening correct
c. Truss placement, hangers, bracing, and nailing correct
d. Walls for plumb
e. Window center line and rough openings correct
f. Studs checked for bow
g. Bearing points to foundation
Salary and benefits
1. Salary $35/hour
