Part-time caregiver position available for care of an elderly male. Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm in the Gambills MD area ( Waugh Chapel Shopping Center) Rate: Up to $25 per hour. There is some flexibility if caregiver can only do 3 or 4 days per week.
Duties consist of assisting with bathing, dressing, restroom, preparing pre-made meals/drinks, providing scheduled pills and just being patience and listening to some of his stories from time to time.
Duties also include daily changing out bed sheets and doing a small load of laundry.
Caregiver must be reliable and physically able to assist elder’s transfer from a wheelchair to his seating areas/bed and vice-versa.
Caregiver must have some efficiently of the English language. Spanish is spoken fluently as a 2nd language by the elder’s sibling that live in the area.
Caregiver is not required to transport Elder for any medical visits. While a car is not necessary, reliably to be there on scheduled days is important.
