Ceremony Coffee is looking for dedicated foodservice professionals to join our team in Annapolis. This is a safe, fun work environment and we close at 8pm so there are no late nights. Pay is hourly plus tips with regular increases throughout training. Employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for healthcare through Ceremony Coffee with a company contribution (subject to a 90-day probationary period).

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Foodservice team member, you are responsible for the execution of seasonal food menu items per our recipes and standards. You are involved in the process from product delivery to service, and must maintain a confident, professional demeanor with customers and front of house staff. Adhering to Health Department and Ceremony Coffee food safety and sanitation standards is of the utmost importance. You must be committed to impeccable food presentation, which is important for delighting customers and creating repeat business.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES + ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare food menu items to the specifications of the establishment and the customer
Follow proven recipes without deviation
Assist coffee bar staff with production of house-made syrups and signature beverage ingredients
Ensure that the kitchen, food prep areas, and food storage areas meet all safety and cleanliness standards
Follow food handling procedures and maintain a good hygienic practice
Monitor product freshness, replace or rotate product and adjust pars as needed
washing, preparing, and portioning ingredients
Follow established receiving procedures when processing deliveries
Follow established inventory procedures when assisting with monthly food inventory
Maintain knowledge of new ingredients, seasonal menu items, and promotions
Successful completion of daily and long-term checklists, meeting work quality standards set by Retail Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in the food industry
Must have knowledge of basic cooking skills and be comfortable following a recipe
Must be willing to make a 6-month commitment
Overt passion for people and service
Reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct and appearance
Capable of accepting and implementing constructive feedback
Capable of learning new systems/methods and developing new habits
Capable of maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
Capable of maintaining calm while working quickly under pressure
Attention to detail with clear communication skills

Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand for several hours and lift at least 50 pounds regularly
