This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement and professional growth while supporting critical missions and operations. Job Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end management of software licenses, from procurement and deployment to renewal and retirement.Maintain a centralized and up-to-date inventory of all software licenses and assets.Monitor software usage and compliance across the organization to ensure alignment with license agreements and regulatory standards.Conduct regular internal reviews and prepare for vendor or third-party audits; address and resolve discrepancies proactively.Analyze software usage data to identify underutilized resources and propose cost-saving opportunities.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for software asset management (SAM).Negotiate and manage software licensing agreements and renewals with vendors to secure favorable terms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, finance, legal, and business units, to support licensing strategy and contract compliance.Provide training and guidance on software usage and compliance policies to internal stakeholders.Generate and deliver regular reports on software utilization, compliance status, and optimization metrics to leadership and stakeholders.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
