Job Descriptions:We are currently seeking a lead Systems Engineer in Aberdeen, MD to lead the software security engineering review process for its Software Defined Radio projects for PM Tactical Radios and PdM HAMMR. This individual will interact with system users and system requirements developers to translate requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Participates in the development of test strategies for the systems and solves engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned. Provide insight into software development process. Coordinate with product vendors and Government team stakeholders to review planned and delivered radio software builds. Ensure required vendor information is provided to the Information Assurance team in support of Authorities to Operate. Maintain software roadmap for each vendor and the planned improvements. Coordinate with Government test team to review tested system baselines and analyze issues encountered. Provide systems engineering expertise to correlate software capabilities across products and vendor implementations. Required Experience:Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline (10 years of direct relevant experience may be substituted for education).
Experience working in the DoD Acquisition environment with military or commercial radio communications systems.
Experience working in software development projects from requirements definition, through design and development, into test and implementation.
Experience and familiarity with industry best practices for configuration management and have an understanding of programmable and reprogrammable hardware to include FPGAs.
Has experience working with Army communications systems, Tactical Radios, SCA compliance systems, Software Defined Radios, and Agile/DEVOPS environments
Desired Qualifications
Additional expertise in RF engineering, satellite communications and other MIL-STD communications equipment/waveforms is a plus.
Experience with VHSIC - Very High Speed Integrated Circuit, VHDL - VHSIC Hardware Description Language, and RESCUE - Reprogrammable Single Chip Universal Encryptor
Experience with Systems of Systems architecture (SOSA) development as well as requirements development and decomposition would be extremely beneficial.
