Position Title: YourPace Admissions Specialist: Part-Time Campus: Presque Isle Department: Admissions - IADM Location: Presque Isle ME Bargaining Unit: UMPSA Salary Band/Wage Band: U/01 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Length: Fiscal Year (12 Months) Statement of the Job: The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Admissions Specialist to be a part of a dynamic and innovative team that provides proactive, student-centered support to adult graduate and undergraduate competency-based education (YourPace) prospects and applicants. The primary responsibility of the part-time Admissions Specialist is to process submitted applications and supporting documentation as well as outreach to applicants to assist them with their submission of supporting documentation. This position works closely with all members of the UMPI Admissions team. Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the salary for this part-time (20 hours/ week) position is $21,318.00. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service or sales,

and the following position requirements:

Basic computer skills including the use of multiple software applications simultaneously,

Microsoft Office suite, Google applications and communication technology (e.g., Zoom)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service or sales.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

For remote work, proof of a stable, reliable internet connection of not less than 25mbps is required. Hotspots are not acceptable for this position.

Completion of a Remote Work Agreement Form.
