Seeking an experienced project manager for a full-time 1099 Contract position. We are a small residential remodeling/cabinetry/furniture/construction company based out of South Portland, expanding into larger scale renovations and new builds.
Qualified candidates will have:
8+ years of hands-on carpentry/construction experience, working on site with large crews & subcontractors.
3+ years of project management experience in a professional construction setting
Reliable transportation and an active Driver's License
Familiarity with Excel, Google Calendars & Mail, and GANTT software such as Asana
A full compliment of hand tools, including battery tools.
A positive, calm demeanor
Excellent attention to detail
A reputation for producing flawless work, on time and at budget
An accepting and openminded attitude towards any and all people
A constructive, respectful approach to all communication
This posting is for a 1099 subcontracting position. We are prepared to offer:
Up to 40 hours a week, at up to $48/hr for the right candidate
One 8 hour paid day vacation per 90 hours worked
$200.00 Annual Equipment Allotment
The person in this position will be responsible for, among other things:
Setting all employee schedules, including their own, weekly and across multiple projects
Coordinating all material deliveries, subcontractors, and any other sequencing concerns as they arise
Interfacing with and providing updates to clients
Fielding questions from employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
Providing daily updates to management
Meeting with prospective clients and preparing estimates
Being available to step in and perform on-site carpentry/construction work as needed
