Grover Precision / Machine Operator / Oxford, Maine
Grover Precision is seeking Machine Operators to be based at the Oxford, Maine facility.
Requirements of the Machine Operator:
Ability to travel to Oxford, Maine for job shift
Willingness to learn new tasks and to accept training and coaching
Ability to manage your tasks and time effectively
Good interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of basic math
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing up to 8 hours a day and walking from 3-6 hours a day
Basic mechanical aptitude
Experience in manufacturing a plus, but not required
Ability to understand manufacturing drawings a plus, but not required

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
Master controls and processes related to equipment at the company based on training to be provided.
Review assigned jobs and tasks and communicate with supervisors and managers about progress to ensure that these jobs and tasks are achievable in the time allotted.
Follow work instructions and directions of supervisors to complete assigned jobs and tasks.
Process and inspect shop orders within customer and company quality specifications and procedures and without deviations; communicate with supervisors immediately, as directed, should issues arise.
Coordinate with supervisors, quality staff, and management regarding the timing of in-process and final inspections.
Follow company policies and procedures on job tracking, including reviewing of prints and work instructions, ensuring proper job signoffs are in place, and tracking of time via clocking system.
Operate machinery safely, per company policies and training, and only when another approved employee is on site. No machine should be operated when the Machine Operator is the only employee in the plant
Coordinate with supervisor and management regarding the clean-up program to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
