CNA Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team. The CNA will interact directly with residents, providing comfort and transportation, monitoring their vital signs and assisting with daily living needs. We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic individual to be a vital link between our residents and the nurses and other facility staff.
CNA responsibilities and duties:
Assist with daily activities.
Help residents with personal hygiene
Provide adjunct care for the patient
Check vital sign and record daily information in the resident’s chart
Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
Adhere to professional standards
Follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements
Requirements:
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course
Basic computer skills
Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy (“bedside manner”)

RN Job Summary:
Registered nurses (RNs) work closely with supervising physicians to assess and monitor residents needs, ensure treatment and care are conducted according to the facility’s procedures, administer medications, and perform other related tasks.
Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:
Cares for residents
Exhibits strong clinical skills
Demonstrates excellent bedside manner
Records a resident’s medical history, symptoms, and vitals.
Updates resident charts and electronic medical records (EMR).
Administers medication and other doctor-recommended treatment plans.
Complies with federal, state, and local nursing regulations, standards, and policies.
Collaborates with nurses, doctors, and administrators.
Requirements:
AS or BS degree in nursing
Must be currently registered/licensed in Maine.
Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills
Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
Effective leadership skills and/or ability to invest in growing this skill
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ward Clerk:
Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Nursing Department in the day to day administrative functions in accordance with current, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation that govern medical records, as well as ensure the medical records are maintained in an informative/complete manner.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Promotes and maintains positive relationships with peers and Residents and works collaboratively with all departments
Maintains a current listing of physician/emergency/business phone numbers
Answer telephone, page calls, deliver messages
Upon resident discharge, disassemble chart and prepare to close records
Complete medical records requests according to policy
Enter resident demographics in ECS and utilize health info net as needed to obtain resident medical information
Ensure all orders are signed/dates and filed into the residents chart within 5 days of the written order.
Assist with admission/discharge of residents as necessary
Provide transportation for residents to scheduled appointments as appropriate
Assist with placing supply orders as assigned
