Chilmark Tavern, a well-established seasonal restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard is looking for one more hot line cook to round out our team for our 2024 season. We are looking for someone who is fun, hard-working, and a great team player all around. We focus on cooking high quality, local-when-possible ingredients in an upscale casual setting.
HOT LINE COOK
We are looking for someone who has previous experience cooking on grill and/or sauté in high volume, high quality, fast paced kitchens. We are looking for cooks who love what they do, and who want to grow and learn. You must be able to keep calm in a stressful setting, keep organized, be able to be on your feet for long shifts, and not be afraid of hard work.
Three + years' experience cooking on grill or sauté in high volume/finer dining or upscale casual settings preferred but we are happy to train someone with a little less experience and a great attitude and willingness to learn.
We are looking for someone who will be available starting immediately through early September, or early October.
This is a seasonal full time position.
Two days off per week (we are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Great pay plus we collect a kitchen appreciation gratuity that is shared amongst BOH staff only. We offer salaried and hourly rates + a share of kitchen appreciation fee.
Housing is available, nearby, at a reasonable cost, for the right candidate(s).
