· Oversee all operations of the course, hire employees and make sure they have adequate training and/or experience to do their jobs well. Perform all HR functions.
. Work directly with the owner for strategic planning and operations strategy.
· Create and maintain employee work schedules.
· Work with the Superintendent in maintaining the golf course in excellent playing condition at all times.
· Oversee/contract the construction of bunkers, tees, greens, and other features on the golf course.
· Prepare and manage the annual operating and capital improvements budgets for the golf course.
· Maintain the day-to-day bookkeeping, pay the bills, close the books monthly, and coordinate with outside auditors. Work with tax accountants to furnish year-end information.
· Manage a course-owned ferry to bring customers to our island course and the adjoining state park.
Order inventory for resale, repairs, and purchase food and beverages for the lunch counter.
