Role Summary:
Maverick Machinery Inc. offers sales of new and rebuilt knife grinding machinery and replacement parts. We specialize in full servicing of machine equipment including installation, maintenance, training and support for clients both in the United States and internationally. This position is a salary position based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Installs, repairs, and maintains knife grinding machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and regular services.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation and by communicating with mill operators.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
Trains production workers on operation and preventive maintenance.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be mechanically and technically inclined
- Previous knowledge in electric, motor controls, PLC’s and drive systems preferred
- Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada 1-3 weeks at a time as jobs dictate
- Clean driving record a must
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics
