We are looking for new hard-working, motivated, and energetic full-time employees for our food truck and restaurant operations. We are currently in the process of expanding and therefore we are hiring all positions: FOH, BOH, and Bartenders. Ideally, we would like to hire someone who has cooking experience in a restaurant (with or without wheels), customer service experience/skills, and experience driving trucksor at least something larger than an SUV. For insurance purposes, in order to drive the truck, a clean driving record is required, and must be over age 25.
Hours:
35-40 hours per week, +/- a few hours, depending on the week. Hours will vary from week to week, but expect some daytime shifts and some evening shifts. This position will include shifts at both our Uptown restaurant location and on our food truck. We are hiring for multiple positions. If you are interested, please apply!
Job Responsibilities:
-Taking orders (SMILES and GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS a must!)
-Loading up food onto the truck/Unloading & washing dirty dishes back at the kitchen
-Driving/Navigating the truck SAFELY to and from the kitchen and catering events
-Assisting with prep work at the restaurant (good knife skills a plus!)
-Preparing and garnishing tacos, arepas, etc.
-Opening/Closing Side-Work
Qualifications:
-Must be able to read/speak English (Spanish, too, is a plus!)
-Must be reliable and on time
-Must have prior restaurant experience (restaurant, food truck, caterer, etc)
-Must be able to work on your feet all day
-Must be tidy and organized in your workspace
-Must be able to operate cooking equipment safely and cautiously
-Must be able to lift or carry 40+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications
-Louisiana Responsible Vendor certificate a plus
-Food Handler Certificate or ServSafe Food Manager Certificate a plus
-Clean Driving Record a plus
-Experience driving large vehicles
