Capulet restaurant is looking to hire a part-time Food & Drink Runner.
Two 8-hour restaurant shifts (Monday and Tuesday, 3-11pm) per week plus a variable and flexible weekend schedule depending on Capulet’s private event schedule.
Food & Drink Runner will carry out the following responsibilities:
- Bring food dishes to customers at dining tables, including customers seated upstairs (on the Mezzanine and Roof Deck).
- Interact with customers, answering questions they have about food, drinks, or service processes.
- Buss, wipe down tables, sweep, and prepare dining areas for the next group of guests.
- Set up & tidy dining areas before the restaurant opens.
- Tidy dining areas & lounge areas during closing.
Food & Drink Runner should have the following personal characteristics:
- Physically energetic; this role will require walking up & down stairs and carrying multiple dishes / drinks at a time.
- Personable w/ a desire to engage with customers. The Food & Drink Runner will not be taking orders from customers, but they will be answering questions from time to time and interacting with customers frequently. A positive disposition, friendliness, and poise are all very important.
- Tidy; the Food & Drink runner is responsible for ensuring dining areas are kept clean and orderly.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- 2 “weekday” shifts per week: Mon-Thurs, 3pm until closing (10:30pm-11:30pm): $15/hour plus tips
- 0-3 “weekend” shifts; variable depending on Capulet’s private event calendar. Pay is $25.50/hour plus tips. Shifts range from 5.5 hours to 9 hours, depending on the event, and end no later than midnight.
- 2x/month confidential psychotherapy sessions via WeHelp.
Additional Notes:
- Must be able to walk up stairs. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
