Bernhard’s vision is to be the leading EaaS provider in North America through the delivery of excellent, high-value service and innovative solutions for our clients.OverviewThe Measurement & Verification Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of M&V plans for energy efficiency projects and provides direction to junior engineers/analysts.ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include:

Develop technical approaches for M&V across a range of energy efficiency projects, in accordance with appropriate protocols.

Report and present results and findings, as well as actionable recommendations to clients.

Develop and review energy consumption baselines and adjustments through statistical regression analysis and other appropriate methods.

Analyze collected data using software tools such as Excel, Python, or R; identifying trends; optimizing weather or production-normalized models; summarizing program events; and identifying impacts on program results.

Work efficiently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams providing technical input and support to their projects.

Develop/review whole building energy simulations using eQUEST, Trane Trace or other similar software.

Participate in research efforts, ensuring consistency and quality of research methods.

Perform commercial site visits to verify energy efficiency measure installation and operating parameters, collect relevant data to inform engineering analysis of energy/utility savings.

Review project scopes of work, contracts, and construction drawings.

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Director of M&V.QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, mathematics, or related field.

(5+) years of demonstrated professional experience in M&V.

(2+) years of experience managing direct reports.

CMVP, PMVA or equivalent certification.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate complicated issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience withcommercial utility bill and rate structures.

Strong interest in energy efficiency, carbon reduction and mitigation technologies, and clean energy.

Experience analyzing energy use of commercial and industrial systems, using analysis techniques, such as regression models and bin analysis, cross-validation, and parameter tuning/optimization.

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.

Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with project management practices and tools, including developing schedules, assigning resources, and budget tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

Public Speaking experience.

Experience developing whole building energy model simulations using Trane Trace/eQUEST.

Experience reviewing MEP drawings.

Prior experience deploying and installing power metering and data logging equipment.

Travel Requirements

Expected to travel up to 15% of the time on occasion to job sites for client meetings.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

Office environment.

Must be able to sit and stand at a desk for long periods of time.
