Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report .Project Overview:Driftwood LNG LLC, is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.Job Summary:In this role, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1Major Responsibilities:Work Planning & Packaging
Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures.
Performing inspections and initiating aiding documentation for all discipline system installations on an ongoing basis.
Providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for staffing, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolution.
Ensuring all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards and codes.
Completing final system walk-downs, deficiency tracking and close-out.
Material Management
Initiates requisitions for field purchases
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Preparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveries.
Quantities
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
Safety / Quality Control
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and comply to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
Knowledge of Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) Teamworks, Unifier, Cornerstone, SteelSlayer, DSCS.
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Additional Information: Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
