This Position is Contingent with Contract Award – Role is based on the Coast of Africa. The post is in support of a US Government Facility on the Coast of Africa. Using skills and expertise that you have honed will contribute to the success of future missions. The Pathologist would represent International SOS on this US government facility. The company will be looking for an individual who is an experienced Pathologist to diagnose diseases by examining tissues, cells, and organs, utilizing laboratory techniques and clinical information to provide accurate and timely interpretations that guide patient management and treatment decisions. Pathologists collaborate with other medical professionals to enhance patient care through their expert analysis of specimens.  Key Responsibilities:   Examine and diagnose tissue specimens and cellular samples to identify diseases, including cancer and other pathological conditions. Conduct autopsies to determine cause of death and gather information for medical investigations. Collaborate with clinicians to discuss diagnoses, provide insights on treatment implications, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Prepare and review pathological reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication of findings. Maintain and ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, quality control measures, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with advancements in pathology and related fields through continuing education and professional development. Supervise and train laboratory staff, including residents and pathology technicians, in diagnostic techniques and laboratory procedures. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
