Bookkeeper

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper with our client in Kenner, Louisiana. This role involves a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the industry. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded, maintaining customer credit records, and addressing customer inquiries. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Establish and define bookkeeping policies and procedures to create an organized system for financial transactions Verify, allocate, and post transactions to maintain accounts Reconcile entries to balance accounts Oversee and balance the general ledger File documents to maintain quality historical records Collect, analyze, and summarize account information to prepare financial reports Review payments received, record deposits, and craft Accounts Receivable invoices Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, QuickBooksRequirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Demonstrated ability in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and practices Skilled in Data Entry Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Payroll procedures and management Proficiency in QuickBooks softwareRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
