Performs tasks that require physical labor at construction sites and must have the ability to perform a variety of duties.Experience LevelEntryPrimary Responsibilities and Duties Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etcQualifications
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoorweather conditions Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds acrossconstruction/industrial site Must have required tools Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and backgroundcheck Must possess a valid Driver's license TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential (preferred) Must be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels.
