Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Import/Export industry for our client located in Covington, Louisiana. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be dealing with account reconciliation, customer credit application processing, and efficient data entry in a dynamic workplace environment. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure all financial data is accurate Process customer credit applications in a detailed and efficient manner Maintain and update customer credit records regularly Perform check runs to ensure timely and accurate payments Handle coding invoices tasks carefully to minimize errors Perform data entry tasks to update our database with the latest information Process invoices and ensure all details are accurate Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize data and perform financial tasks Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessaryRequirements Must have a strong understanding of the Import/Export industry Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Ability to run Check Runs is necessary Experience with Coding Invoices is essential Strong Data Entry skills are required Proficiency in Invoice Processing is necessary Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must have strong problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of standard accounting procedures Must have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferredRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
