Mechanic

Ingram Marine Group is seeking a Mechanic to join our Convent, LA team. No day is the same in this role, you could be welding, performing inspections, trouble shooting, or repairing engines on crew boats, fixing hydraulic leaks on cranes, working on equipment inside of barges and a person that likes that kind of diversity is what we are looking for.You will be responsible for repair and maintenance of Cranes, Crew boats and Equipment, including welding and mechanical repair. The role requires strong understanding of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical systems and welding techniques to ensure optimal condition and functionality of equipment.What you will be doing:Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on cranes, equipment and crew boatsDiagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issuesFabricates repair partsMaintains equipment and repair inventoryDetermines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used partsMaintaining a clean and organized work environment.Assuring safe and efficient operations through compliance with Ingram’s policies and principles, safety systems, and the company’s code of ethics.  Performing other duties as assigned.
