POSITION SUMMARY
Operates Company/leased truck for the delivery, pickup, relocation of products and materials; complies with State and Local driving laws.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Conducts vehicle inspection using the DVIR before and after assigned route(s); completes the route sheet with name, truck number, start mileage, start time, weather, etc.
- Reviews daily route sheet for any changes.
- Ensures proper equipment and supplies are in truck prior to starting route; maintains cleanliness of the truck’s cab and the carry box.
- Collects all products in or around each bin; cleans inside and around each bin on the route.
- Enters the estimated weight in bags and pounds for each bin as collected.
- Inspects the appearance of bins at each stop on route (looks for worn or faded signs, broken trim, and condition of paint or anything else that would affect the bin’s appearance).
- Report route issues/concerns such as moved bin, competitor drops, construction near bin area, changes in pounds collected, etc.
- Unloads truck at warehouse, places product in appropriate areas; deposits all trash in the dumpsters provided by the company.
- Properly uses and wears assigned safety equipment at all times during shift.
- Fills the fuel tanks (both tanks) completely at an assigned fuel station at the beginning of route.
- Maintains and protects all property entrusted in excellent condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets company standards.

- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Understands the value of a customer service orientation and has the ability to foster that spirit with the team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. Requires prolonged sitting and driving.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
