Position DescriptionThis role will mainly handle clients in the Central Time Zone. This role will also work with clients on our Precision and Cleartouch cores.What does a great Client Partner do?Assume the leadership role in managing Fiserv overall business relationship with a portfolio of high growth and progressive clients from a strategic and consultative perspective. Serving as the primary contact for the client’s executive and/ or senior level managers, the Client Partner is responsible for managing and growing the overall relationship with key decision makers and influencers at assigned clients to build customer dedication and increase revenues.In order to do this effectively, this individual must understand Fiserv solutions and have a strong technical background to partner with clients on day to day questions and to drive thought leadership. The Technical Client Partner will provide guidance to the client on their current technology stack and roadmap to better achieve their short or long term objectives, with a focus on Fiserv solutions. The Technical Client Partner will use Fiserv solutions to maximize client’s growth and profitability, utilizing company resources to ensure client satisfaction, retention and increased profitability for Fiserv.In this role, you can look forward to:Developing a solid understanding of core applications and surrounding products in additional to client’s current offerings to effectively engage with prospective customers

Assisting clients in assessing and aligning their business or processes to achieve the client’s short and long term objectives

Relying on technical and Fiserv knowledge to propose Fiserv bundles, including pan-Fiserv solutions, to enable the client to better achieve their objectives

Partnering with the client and various stakeholders to understand and define both technical and cross-functional requirements within a proposal or solution

Demonstrating thought leadership and technical expertise establishing you and Fiserv as a trusted partner to the client

Obtaining assigned sales quota through contract renewals and the sale of various products and services to assigned client portfolio

Carrying out day to day maintenance of daily operations for assigned client portfolio

Retaining customers through proactive follow-up on outstanding issues, and professional contract negotiations

Maintaining industry and product knowledge, an understanding of customers’ needs and concerns while continuously promoting a positive company image

Supporting sales initiatives by driving overall technical architecture design discussion

Under limited direction, meeting or exceeding corporate goals regarding revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction.

Travel may be required up to 60% of the time

5+ years of sales/account management experience preferably in banking industry

Additional Requirements:Experience managing and growing relationships with large/complex financial organizations

Experience in sales and negotiating techniques

Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical sales information, specifications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental or legal regulations

Must have knowledge of business and operations in the financial industry.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications and group presentation skills.

Must be able to prioritize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively and with timely follow-up on each.

Possess a positive demeanor while operating under pressure, and be an independent problem-solver.

May be required to train others (client and internal staff) in area of technical expertise.

While this position has no direct reports, it does require interaction with subordinates and other staff members to ensure client satisfaction

Proven ability to work with senior management or executives and requires minimal supervision and direction.

Requires ability to influence at multiple levels internally and externally to accomplish business goals

Proficiency in working with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:Additional special training in banking is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Fiserv core products, including integrating new clients with complex requirements

Fundamental knowledge of computer systems including host-based systems, especially financial data processing systems highly desirable
