Scada Operator, Electric Distribution

The purpose of this classification is to monitor, and maintain the supply and distribution of electricity across the City's power grid using the computerized supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system in accordance with all established regulations, standards, and procedures.Minimum Applicant Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience involving operation of SCADA systems and experience with electrical distribution systems; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Will be required to obtain a valid State of Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment for this classification.
Work Hours:
12 hour rotating shifts, work holidays, nights and weekendsKind of Examination
