Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant based in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role involves a range of accounting responsibilities in a telecom provider setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in reviewing and updating policies and procedures, performing account reconciliations, and providing support and leadership to staff accountants.Responsibilities: Review and update all policies and procedures for Home Health and Hospice as needed Perform account reconciliations and trend analysis for all assigned accounts Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company procedures Generate necessary reports and participate in related monthly accounting activities to ensure timely ledger close Provide support and leadership to staff accountants, including reviewing and posting their journal entries Manage all internal and external auditor requests for documentation Assist in special projects as assigned Utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment Exercise independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work according to applicable regulations, company policies, and procedures. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar. Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Previous experience with bank reconciliations is necessary. Must possess a strong understanding of general ledger management. Experience in preparing and posting journal entries is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience in month-end close processes is essential. Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certification such as CPA is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
