Description:TEKsystems is in need of a Low Voltage Technician located or around Louisville, KY. This opportunity will involve installing, documenting, troubleshooting, and servicing access control systems and IP video security systems in the greater Louisville, KY area. The ideal candidate will have quantitative technical experience, interpersonal skills, and leadership capabilities. Common work environment & daily tasks include: Read and perform work in accordance to job site prints Install of Pathways including “J” hooks, conduit, etc in accordance with industry standards and fire codes Install fire rated back boards Install data racks and wire management systems Install Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6a in accordance with industry standards Install feeder cable and Demarc extensions Complete data closet build-outs Diagnose and repair cabling issues Fiber termination and testing in both Single Mode and Multimode applications Quality dressing and presentation of finished product Proper fiber pulling and management techniques Accurate jobsite documentation for production of an “AS BUILT” Job site management Accurate and timely completion of daily paperwork Manage workload efficiently and effectively Maintain and establish customer service standards that meet or exceed customers’ expectations. Work/operate in a safe and environmentally manner according to company policies and all governmental regulations and laws.Job Requirements include (but are not limited to): Must be a team player. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Current driver’s license & good driving recordSkills:CCTV, Alarm Installation, Install, Cat6, Cat5, Access Control, Video, Punchdown, Fiber Optic Cable, Troubleshooting, Security, Wireless Access Point, Video ConferencingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Punctuality, reliability-this is very much a team environment.
