Position Overview
Always Green Lawn Care is seeking experienced and dedicated Lawn Care Technicians to join our growing team in the Lexington, Kentucky area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while delivering exceptional customer service. This full-time position offers steady work with opportunities for professional growth in the landscaping industry.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive lawn maintenance services including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to proper application rates and safety protocols
Conduct lawn assessments and identify common turf diseases, pest issues, and nutrient deficiencies
Operate and maintain various lawn care equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate customer records
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service recommendations and scheduling
Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely service delivery
Maintain professional appearance and represent company values in all customer interactions
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Minimum 2 years of professional lawn care experience preferred
Knowledge of turf grass types common to Kentucky (fescue, bluegrass, Bermuda, etc.)
Experience with commercial lawn care equipment (zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, trimmers, blowers)
Understanding of fertilizer and chemical application principles
Basic knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and weed identification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
Stamina to work full days performing physical labor
