Industrial Electricity –AC/DC motor controls, swit5ch gears, inverters, PLC controllers, ladder logic and
programming, control circuits and devices, use of test equipment.
Blue print reading – understand, comprehend, fabricate
Pipefitting copper, steel, plastic, galvanized
Welding/Cutting stick, mig, torch, shield, arc, oxy acetylene, plasma
Shop skills layout, drilling, and taping, lathe, milling, bandsaw, circular saws, small hand tools
Instrument Use –height gauges, micrometer, calipers, sweep gauge, radius gauge, ruler/scale taper
gauges…etc.
Basic Machine Principles –threads and fasteners, tolerance and fit, materials, lubricants,
Millwright –chains sprockets, bearings pneumatics, press set-ups, hydraulics,
Electrician skills – mounting hardware, installing conduit, pulling wires, among connections, layout and
sizing wiring systems
Diagnostic skills – ability to logically find root cause of machine failures using electrical and
mechanical trouble shooting techniques and efficient methods
Interpersonal skills – communications, employee involvement, and problem solving are a must
Knowledge of TPM – Total Productive Maintenance procedure desire
The essential functions of this role include:
