Job SummaryLeader of a Technical Training Team for Instructor Led Training and On-the-Job Training (Flexible Location across NGD Operating Territory)General Summary: Lead a team of Technical Trainers and OJT Coaches that support Distribution Operations in the development of employees. Coordinates Training and OJT training requests and determines resource allocations. Assist and support the Lead Training Coordinator with training resource allocations. Takes actions to ensure employees are properly prepared to work safely, effectively and in compliance with all Regulatory requirements. Primary areas of responsibility may include Service, Plant, Construction, M&R, Corrosion, Engineering, and Leakage activities.Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Lead Training Coordinator and Training Manager in the creation of Training Plans. Assist and support the allocation of resources for training delivery.
Directs, and participates in development/revision of Technical Training Programs and Curriculum.
Supervises activities of Technical Trainers and OJT Coaches to ensure following Standard Operating Procedures.
Prepares correspondence and reports.
Supports Training Center Management with performance metrics and training plan development, planning and adherence.
Participates in employee development and conducts training and coaching observations in the classroom and in the field.
Develops team to flex and support technical training needs
Stays current with technology, regulatory requirements, and related training.
Builds and maintains strong collaborative partnerships with Operations leadership/management.
Assesses and develops skills of Trainers and OJT Coaches.
Assesses organizational classroom training and OJT training, evaluates needs, and makes recommendations.
Creates and delivers presentations to internal and external groups.
Procures the materials and equipment needed to conduct training.
Promotes the necessary environment for professional and effective training to be conducted.
Promotes use of policies, procedures, and standards in the classroom and in the field.
Initiates continual improvement initiatives and leads cross functional teams in implementing improvements.
Ensures team is ready to respond and support the ICS (Incident Command System) structure for emergent issues or for workforce continuity efforts.
Testifies in Arbitrations, depositions, and court cases as needed
Lead investigations in new employee performance issues by providing accurate documentation and recommendations for disciplinary actions
Applies applicable collective bargaining unit agreement as it pertains to training
Represent the Training Organization by delivering presentations at industry sponsored events
Leads diverse team of qualified individuals with authority to hire, terminate, promote, demote, coach, develop and performance manage.

Required Qualifications For Position
High School Diploma
Minimum five years’ experience in Field Operations, training, or related experience.
Demonstrated technical expertise in assigned area.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build ongoing working relationships
Basic computer skill proficiency
Project management experience
Demonstrated Leadership experience
Estimated Travel 50%
DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State current driver's license Upon Hire
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Bachelor's Degree 4 year degree or technical degree
Experience in natural gas industry and/or background in training within a regulated utility, skilled trades, emergency response community, or in training military personnel
Leadership experience
Experience in delivering effective training/coaching to multiple levels of the organization
Excellent facilitation skills for various size groups
Demonstrate the ability to develop and leverage relationships within and across work groups to achieve results
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Unit Agreements (where applicable)
