Job Title: Aircraft Assembly TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician with experience in the military or aerospace industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex metallic or composite assemblies, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate excellent eye-hand coordination.Responsibilities
Follow work instructions and be accountable for the work performed.
Use basic inspection gauges and common hand and power tools.
Understand and use simple drawings and sketches.
Fit check and assemble detail parts.
Identify and properly install fasteners and sealants.
Perform any other incidental duties as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with complex metallic or composite assemblies in the military or aerospace industry.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good eye-hand coordination.
Ability to use basic inspection gauges and common hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Ability to work in an unfatigued state.
Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in short term memory.
Good math skills to understand complex instructions.
Ability to concentrate and pay attention to minute details.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in honing, detail machining, blueprint reading, and aircraft assembly methods is helpful.
At least 1 year of aircraft assembly experience (drilling, bucking, and shooting rivets).
Experience with small parts assembly, including countersinking rivets, squeezing rivets, installing bushings, and installing bearings.
