Accounting Clerk - Century II

Summary:Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in the full-cycle accounting functions of Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center. Responsibilities:

Assist with payroll, accounts payable, food & beverage accounting and daily box office accounting.

Update and maintain journal entries and other records detailing business transactions.

Data entry into D365 accounting software.

Clerical filing of invoices.

Assist with month-end financial statement close process.

Assist with the month-end bank reconciliations.

Assist with payroll check distribution; and reports and audits of time keeping system.

Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.

Communicate with management and staff to ensure information and records are received and processed accurately and on a timely basis.

Assist with monthly vault counts and reconciliations.

Process credit cards, as needed, for Exhibitor Services Utility Fees for events.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

Ability to work up to 25 hours per week within a consistent, set schedule.

Ability to work independently or within a team including the ability to problem solve.

Ability to follow directions and retain information once trained in a specific area.

Organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Detail oriented.

Excellent written and oral communication.

Ability to be flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with D365, preferred. Not Required

Ability to pass background and credit check.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 1-2 years of accounting education or equivalent experience.

Ability to handle multiple projects.

Ability to work with staff at all levels.

Dependable and reliable.

Physical Demands:This position requires stooping/lifting/standing/walking/keyboarding.
