We have an opening for a Professional Care Attendant for a 46-year-old female with Cerebral palsy. She is mobile and verbal with some impairments. She must be monitored when outside the home due to some visual impairment and does not recognize dangerous situations. You need Specific Career Service Experience in Positive Behavioral Support and seizure attendance. If you are willing to learn and take on new challenges, we will consider you for full time employment. You must be a very fun and outgoing person.

Prior to employment you must pass background screening for the following.

Kansas bureau of Investigation (KBI) Criminal Background

Kansas Dept. of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) Adult and Child Abuse Central Registry.

Kansas Dept. health and Environment

Motor Vehicle Record

Prior to employment you will also need to be certified in CPR, First Aid and receive Maltreatment & Abuse Training. These classes are available through TARC at no cost.

You must have a dependable vehicle, a current valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance as daytime activities outside the home are required.

A personal interview is necessary to determine if you are acceptable by our daughter.

She needs monitoring for seizures and assistance with bathroom needs. Her food is prepared and served in home, so no cooking is required. We do not provide the attendant with meals.

The position pays $14.65 per hour for 3 hours a day and $16.25 per hour for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The position has a mileage benefit of 300 miles per pay period which are from the 1st thru the 15th and the 16th thru the end of the month at $0.62 per mile, $150.00 per pay period.

The position is for 5 days a week Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The funding is provided through the state of Kansas by TARC and Life Patterns. The work hours are electronically reported daily either via computer or Cell Phone.
