Dog trainer needed for bird and duck hunting training in Randall, Kansas. We are looking for someone to work with my father’s three full-grown German Shorthaired Pointers. The trainer should visit 3 to 4 times a week to provide specialized training for hunting, along with plenty of tender loving care, as these dogs currently don’t get much attention right now.
The training should focus on:
- Teaching the dogs to locate, point, and retrieve birds and ducks.
- Reinforcing basic obedience commands like sit, stay, come, and heel.
- Working on retrieving dummies and birds gently.
- Introducing water retrieves to build confidence.
- Conducting field training sessions to practice hunting scenarios.
- Providing lots of love and attention to strengthen the bond with the dogs.
We are offering $500 a month for this service. Training will take place at my father’s property in Randall, Kansas.
