Inspired people, amazing designs, and projects with purpose.Job DescriptionOlsson’s South Facilities Engineering and Design Team is growing, and we’re looking for a Security Systems Designer to support data center projects. This role focuses on designing and integrating security systems to protect mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless access control, incursion detection, and surveillance solutions.You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients to develop state-of-the-art security systems, leveraging the latest in physical security technology to meet the high standards of data center protection.Key Responsibilities:

Design physical layer security systems for data centers, including access control, intrusion detection, surveillance, and monitoring systems.

Develop detailed layouts for security infrastructure, coordinating with telecommunications and facility teams.

Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to produce high-precision security system models.

Ensure compliance with industry security (ASIS) standards.

Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate security systems with telecommunications and building automation.

Conduct site visits and risk assessments to support system implementation and project success.

Stay up to date on emerging security technologies and best practices for high-security environments.

8+ years of experience in security system design for data centers, critical infrastructure, or commercial facilities.

Knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems.

Familiarity with ASIS and other industry security standards (PSP certification is a plus).

Experience in CAD/BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).

Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
