Our direct client is looking to hire a REMOTE "Avaya Telecom Engineer" for a 9-12 month CONTRACT role.

Must be able to work central time zone

Monday-Friday work week

This position is 100% REMOTE.

Prefer Eastern or Central Time zones

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant in-depth technical knowledge in areas related to platform specific systems and/or voice network operations.

• Ability to provide move, add, and change services.

• Experience with Avaya on premise PBX, cloud, and CMS voice systems.

• Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)

JOB SUMMARY Works both independently and in a team environment to perform the tasks, duties, and responsibilities of a Technical Voice Engineer Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage communication equipment, systems, and services used by the company. Performs high-level analysis, makes recommendations, implements, and supports communications in correlation with the facilitation and enhancement of day-to-day operation. Assists with the establishment of technical direction and deployment strategy of related technologies to meet team and organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Demonstrates in-depth experience of Avaya On Premise PBX and Cloud communications systems and manages the functionality, capacity, reliability, availability, and recoverability of communication systems, equipment, and service. • Works with management, vendors, and customers to plan for, design, order and coordinate the implementation of communication systems and services between the company, our partners, and vendors. • Manage and resolve high severity issues, complex problems, and outages in a timely manner using knowledge with assistance from vendors and in-house resources as needed. • Provides input and recommendations to management for identifying and prioritizing tasks and identifying objectives for project management. • Provides rotational 24 x 7 on-call support.

COMPETENCIES • Evaluates and responds appropriately to customer issues and requests. Handles complex or high-impact issues without assistance. • Provides support for deployed technologies, systems, and processes according to established procedures and industry best practices. • In-Depth experience of Avaya IP telephony and VOIP terminologies technologies like H.323, SIP, and SBCs • Have good understanding of call flows, routing, and porting. • Perform support on Avaya ACD and CMS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (PLUS SKILLS ONLY) • Bachelor's degree • Three (3) years of experience in senior telecommunication's role. • Experience in supporting a large telecommunications infrastructure. • Experience with hosted voice solutions. • Experience with data networks and quality of service.
