We are seeking an Application Architect to be our Microsoft Technology subject matter expert (SME) responsible for end-to-end architecture, design, integration, deployment, and management of on-prem and cloud solutions. As the primary administration and support resource for our O365 ecosystem you will ensure availability and reliability, performance monitoring, and security of applications aligned with best practices from Microsoft.Role

  • Identify, design, plan, and manage integrated efforts impacting our Microsoft application stack.
  • Define a go forward plan to avoid technical debt and minimize impacts to the business.
  • Identify and document best practices for application configuration and services as it relates to a fully integrated application solution stack.Support integration architecture & configuration of other applications.
  • Manage of project deliverables and designs with multiple system impacts.
  • Define support processes & procedures and collaborate with other administrators on best practices and procedures including system security, system patching, and upgrades.
  • Deploy custom developed and third-party solution packages.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as configuration, patch management and hot fixes for O365 & related applications.
  • Perform complex root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with business resources for testing, infrastructure, security etc.
  • Review and provide feedback on Subject Matter expertise for O365 including training, documentation, and support to end-users and team members
We have a highly complex and heavily integrated enterprise environment so it’s critical that the individual who joins the team will have been an early adopter of Microsoft O365 Architecture in the 2012 / 2013 timeframe and has been heavily involved in design & deployment of various releases since that time. We are still heavily leveraged with on-prem messaging, collaboration, storage, etc. and need someone with deep experience migrating application and systems from on-prem to 0365.Hands-on technical expertise in the following is expected:
  • Office 365 Applications (Exchange, Teams, Yammer, Sharepoint, PowerBI, etc)
  • AzureDevOps
  • Azure and on-prem applications (Exchange, File Servers, Active Directory Federation Services)
  • Windows Server
  • SQL Server
  • Powershell
Preference given to candidates with any of the following credentials
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Mobility and Security
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Azure related: Administrator / Security Engineer / Developer Associate
  • MCSE: Productivity
  • MTA: Cloud Fundamentals
  • Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101)
  • Implementing a Hybrid and Secure Messaging Platform (MS-201)
  • Deploying Microsoft 365 Teamwork (MS-300)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
We are currently 100% remote but once COVID restrictions start to lift we will be bringing teams back to our office so we STRONGLY prefer you are currently in the Kansas City metro or have ties to the area.
