Join our extraordinary team today!We're seeking a Project Engineer, Research & Advanced Engineering (R&AE) to join our team in Hesston, Kansas. This role will focus on developing new concepts and technology for Crop Care products including Planters, Sprayers, and Fertilizer applicators. You'll be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing design strategies related to product roadmaps.Your Impact

Solve complex Research and Engineering problems, with emphasis on mechatronics

Plan, execute, and document projects from conceptual design through testing

Collaborate with Global R&AE, Agronomy, and Product Engineering teams

Provide technical guidance to various departments

Develop and deliver proof of concepts for further development

Create patentable design features to maintain competitive advantage

Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Advanced degree preferred.

Proficiency in C/C and Python Experience with Bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, 100baseTX / 100baseT1)

2+ years of embedded software development experience

2+ years optional experience with:

Image processing tools (OpenCV, Matlab)Machine learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)Linux application developmentCAN protocols (SAE J1939 and ISO 11783)Simulation or modeling tools (MATLAB or SIMULINK)

Proficiency in CAD (CREO or Solidworks)

Experience in electrical component and hardware development
