Tier 3 Support - End User Computing

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tier 3 Support - End User Computing specialist in the life insurance industry. Based in West Des Moines, Iowa, you will play a vital role in our team, providing advanced technical support and contributing to the growth and development of the team.Responsibilities: Provide mentorship and training to less experienced team members to foster team development. Play an active role in executing IT projects such as hardware/software deployments and infrastructure upgrades. Show hands-on involvement with incident management, service desk escalation, and end-user support in a large-scale enterprise environment. Display proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting in Windows and MacOS environments, including laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices. Utilize scripting skills for automation and solving common IT tasks. Support enterprise networks (LAN/WAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS) and display familiarity with TCP/IP and network protocols. Maintain a keen focus on maintaining the security of our computer systems, responding to incidents promptly and effectively. Demonstrate technical support expertise, providing solutions for a variety of complex issues. Utilize Active Directory and Configuration Management skills to manage user access and system configurations. Provide end-user support and desktop support, ensuring smooth operation of our computing environment. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry Proficient in Active Directory Solid understanding of Computer Hardware Extensive experience in Configuration Management and Deployments Demonstrated ability to Provide Technical Support Proven experience in Tier 3 Support Proficient in handling Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) tasks Familiarity with Computer Security Incident Response Team procedures Proven ability in Incident Resolution Experience in providing End-User Support Excellent Desktop Support skills Proficiency in Mac OS and Windows OS Knowledge of Enterprise Network Experience with LAN - Local Area Network and WAN - Wide Area Network Understanding of TCP/IP protocols Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work in a team and independently Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field is preferred Relevant IT certifications will be considered as a plus.
