About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant in Home Lending Data Analytics and Insights . Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.The team supports Home Lending through data analytics by creating metrics and reports, performing analyses, providing feedback, and delivering insights to support decision making for various business initiatives and strategies. This role provides support specifically around HMDA compliance, Fair Lending, and CRA related initiatives as well as other support for Home Lending Originations by providing analysis and support for customer and product profitability & opportunity, sales effectiveness, compliance risk management.In this role, you will:

Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs

Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise

Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities

Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise

Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors that includes researching multiple data sources.

Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic and tactical initiatives and business needs supporting Regulatory Reporting

Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements to existing and new Regulatory Reporting

Lead or participate on large cross group projects spanning Home Lending originations and servicing data teams.

Mentor less experienced staff

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, auditors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.

Develop controls and reconciliation to support RSCA initiatives.

Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo

Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions

Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Strong Analytical Skills with ability to find the story within the data

Strong Technical Skills with experience with SAS/SQL/other coding languages

Aptitude to solve complicated problems and learn new things

4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

3+ years of experience in a consultative analytics, reporting, or other technical role, requiring frequent collaboration with end users and/or business partner

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong independent thinking skills

Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Experience presenting to senior leadership, including PowerPoint development and delivery in a polished, professional manner

Understanding Home Lending lines of business and systems of record

Experience with RCSA, CRA, UDAAP or the Fair Housing Act regulations

Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems

Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications

Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

based on analytics.

Adept in data analysis tools and programming (R, Python, SQL, SAS)

Job Expectations:

This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Pay Range:

New York, NY: $133,300 to 237,100 annually

Wilmington, DE: $122,200 to 217,200 annually

Other posted Locations: $111,100 to 197,500 annually

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
