Job Title: Sit Down Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionAs a forklift operator, your main duty will be to operate a sit-down forklift for the majority of your day. However, you may be required to assist with other tasks as well. Your responsibilities include operating and maneuvering forklifts to move freight safely, scanning products and following instructions for the task, reporting and resolving concerns with the help of a lead or supervisor, unloading or loading materials, performing job duties of Material Handler for production flow as directed by supervisor, working with and transporting specific parts, and reading paperwork to ensure the correct containers are being shipped.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Waterloo, Iowa.Work EnvironmentThis job offers various shift options including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with both regular and 10-hour shift options. Breaks include two 15-min paid breaks and one 30-min unpaid lunch. Overtime is typically done with 10-hour days with some Saturdays depending on the workload. The busy season is usually the winter months, into early summer, often being 6 days a week, and 10-hour days. Overtime will start as of 9/29/22. Personal Protective Equipment required includes steel-toes (can be tennis shoes), safety glasses, and a reflective safety vest.
