Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewThe Manager - Contracted Supply Chain will serve as a subject matter expert who maintains ownership of all supply chain functions necessary to achieve superior customer service. This role will establish, direct, participate and support initiatives in the areas of cost reductions, process improvement, inventory optimization, as well as quality improvement initiatives. Success of this position requires working efficiently and effectively while collaborating closely with the Avera Supply Chain department and necessary functional areas to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and equipment at competitive prices.What you will do
Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates programs to purchase materials, supplies and equipment using appropriate purchasing and procurement techniques that maintain the best value.
Supports a sound value analysis process by engaging requestors, clinicians and vendors to provide recommendations on goods and equipment through the coordination of demos, trials, or other discovery events as necessary to support a diligent vetting process is completed before purchase.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of contracting strategies to include, but not limited to, GPOs, negotiating contract business terms, executing contract amendments, monitoring contracts through their life cycle and ensuring renewals and terminations occur within established timelines.
Ensures execution of Supply Chain strategies and implementations, policy and procedure adoptions as well as product standardization and conversions.
Oversees and develops the inventory management philosophy necessary to maintain a perpetual inventory system whereby inventory turns are maximized through setting optimal par levels and accuracy is improved by application of appropriate cycle counting techniques.
Maintains and updates all par locations with a focus on safety, organization, accuracy and optimization.
Leads and ensures execution of any action as it relates to all product recalls for supplies and equipment.
Manages shipping and receiving process for both inbound and outbound freight; including assisting AP with working invoice exceptions resulting from errors.
Collaborates and cooperates with other departments to integrate and coordinate services through both leadership and active participation on teams, committees, and meetings.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's in related area.
4-6 years of related experience and/or training and education.
