Job Title: Commercial Plumber
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA & Davenport, IA
Pay: $25–$35/hour (Based on Experience)
Per Diem: $100/day worked
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: Contract – a few months, with potential for extension
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in commercial plumbing
Position Overview:
Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced commercial plumbers for immediate contract opportunities in Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa. This role involves reading blueprints, ensuring code compliance, and collaborating with other construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and fixtures in commercial construction.
Install mechanical piping, equipment and systems associated with commercial construction
Install PVC, copper, PEX, ProPress, threaded and grooved pipe
Interpret drawings, submittals and specifications
Layout and plan for the tasks ahead on a daily basis
Follow Uniform Plumbing Code and install all systems per specifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial pipe welding
Able to interpret blueprints, drawings.
Journeyman or Master License is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Must have basic tools for this trade
Job requires proper use of PPE
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
