Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: The Content Operations team is hiring a Terminology Manager to partner with content creators in Global Business Marketing (GBM) to help drive more consistent and high-quality sales and marketing content. Our Terminology Manager will make it easier for content creators to deliver accurate and concise content and translations by enabling them to access the tools and processes that bring accuracy to life. You will educate marketers on the role of terminology, and train them on tools and processes, while directly maintaining and scaling a robust term base. You will also partner with teams across Facebook, including Product Content Strategy and Internationalization, to develop and scale company-wide operating standards.Required Skills: Deliver and scale ongoing terminology function across Global Business Marketing teams
Research and create terminology entries
Train and coordinate the activities of term contributors
Analyze and drive improvements to content quality measurement with terminology tools
Create and hone processes with partners to help scale the terminology program
Participate in Facebook’s broader terminology and content strategy communities to help shape mutually beneficial programs across the company
Work directly with Internationalization team to hone and evolve process solutions that improve translation while also serving source language creators
Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years experience working with content, including development of style guides and terminology
Experience with terminology in a corporate function (marketing, product, etc.)
Experience working with Acrolinx
Information architecture or knowledge management experience
Experience working cross-functionally and building consensus
Please include a link to samples of your content work that demonstrate your skills at research and documentation, for example, white papers, style guides, or procedural content
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in Library Science, Information Architecture or a related field
Experience with business to business technology marketing, the common forms of content used, and experience managing terms for that content
Experience as a program manager
Experience working with localization and translations
