Claims Processor

Description:These roles will be a 100% remote opportunities but candidates must sit in the Des Moines area. This team may ask for consultants to come into the office and will be given notice several days in advance. Contractors will be required to provide their own equipment: laptop and cell phone.Looking for candidate with insurance experience and/or good customer service skills!Daily Duties:This position will handle the beginning part of the claims process - will review the imaging system and review the application, upload any beneficiary changes into the claims system, review the contract and policy and follow up on provisions, death claims, and review options, and finish with getting the letter together and mailing/emailing to the beneficiary.All work for this role will be done through the computer systems and will consist of mostly reviewing and uploading information. Must be able to work efficiently through multiple computer system and toggle for workload. Will be using a claims system (Fineos), a mainframe system (Lifesys), and an imaging system (Dig Portal).Review the internal image system for application and beneficiary changes to locate most recent beneficiary designation.Review image system for mail that has been received but not imagedReview policies to determine settlement option for death claims.Mail follow-up letters for outstanding claim requirements.Prepare death claim kits with letter and forms to mail to beneficiaries and agents.Demonstrates ability to self-organize, set priorities and manage workload.Monitors, measures and assesses processes to determine areas of improvement; identifies and eliminates operational waste.Understands basic data concepts.Contributes to deliverables by executing work and providing team members with appropriate status updates.Additional Skills & Qualifications:1+ years of Insurance experience Experience working with customer service or claimsAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
