I am hiring for a VISUAL MERCHANDISER for Furniture Row in Marion and Waterloo!
This position combines elements of design and the physical aspects of moving furniture.
This is a travel position. You will be based out of Cedar Rapids but will be expected to travel to our Waterloo location 1-2 weeks a month. You will be provided with hotel with continental breakfast on your travel days!
On a daily basis your job might include- cleaning/straightening up sets, moving furniture, assembling furniture, bringing out new product/sets, selecting rugs/ lamps/tables to go with sets, making beds, hanging rugs on rack, adjusting spotlights, hanging artwork, decorating the store for the holidays, creating displays, tagging product and moving product in inventory. Additionally, we will occasionally have you help with special projects such as- painting, setting large display walls, or doing entire floor resets. Special projects will generally include the assistance of other employees.
Your job is to help us make our stores look as great as possible and inspire customers to buy!
REQUIREMENTS:
-must be able to lift 30lbs
-must be comfortable using a ladder
-must be able to be on feet for extended periods
-must have valid driver license and reliable personal vehicle
-must be willing and able to travel to Waterloo 1-2 weeks per month

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
SCHEDULE- you can CHOOSE between working five 8-hour work days or four 10-hour work days. The choice is yours and is able to change week-to-week based on your schedule needs. Must work 40-hours per week.
